‘Barrow Hill Town’ by Year 5/6

We have learning about the artist L.S. Lowry. Lowry was inspired by the industrial landscapes of Northern England in the early 20th century and created a number of hugely popular paintings. His original pieces of art are today worth millions of pounds!

We worked on a large canvas using acrylic paints to create our own industrial landscape. Can you spot any familiar locations?

Lowry was well known for his ‘matchstalk’ people and animals. You can see we’ve also added our own ‘matchstalk’ people to our painting – Barrow Hill Town.

Inspired by L.S. Lowry, this is 'Barrow Hill Town' - created by year 5/6 at Barrow Hill Primary School.
